First 2022 Market A Success!

We'd like to thank everyone for coming to the Kiel Farmers' Market yesterday. The new hours were met with positivity by most, but also some concern for those who work second shift. Know that a few of the vendors have committed to still meeting on Wednesday mornings to try and meet the need of those who can't make it in the afternoons. 

KielThe day was met with beautiful weather, many friendly faces, and a lot of excitement for new produce vendors who have traveled many miles to help make our market a reality. It was so great to see so many involved, so many families and dogs, so much joy and fellowship. This is what our community needs, a place to meet, talk, trade or buy produce, craft, learn, and connect.

It was a great market with beautiful flowers, delicious produce, wonderful baked goods, and so much more. The vendors that came expressed much delight in their sales and an excitement towards helping grow this market that will surely fill City Park in the coming months ahead.

You may have noticed an online ordering feature that's coming soon on kielmarket.com. We'd like to try and work with the vendors to offer some online order or pickup or reservation capability either on the site as a whole, or as a referral to producers who already do this. We want to meet the needs of the community, and by having an RSVP program, we can try and work around people's busy schedules. We're even playing with some kind of next day pickup for those who can't make it on Wednesday afternoons.

For 2023, we're also trying to figure out the logistics of trying to do markets on Saturdays which will require more volunteers. Know we're trying to make it work as soon as we have enough of an interest.

There's more vendors and artists coming next Wednesday so plan to stop out!
